Landscape painting and Drawing have been a major part of Susan’s practice. She Lives in a hill farming area in North Wales. The atmospheric effects influence strong colours and shape in her semi abstract paintings. Susan is very aware of the way man kind has influenced the look of the land scape. Little is left of the natural areas, fields are hedged and cultivated. Pathways have been cut or trodden though valleys and over hills. Extensive quarrying have made craters and lakes.

Mankind’s influence on the landscape is rarely advantageous Quarrying at Parry.s mountains revealed a colourful and Martian like landscape a major attraction for artists Susan featured several images during 2016 in her masters show.

Susan interest has developed in to observing restorative and environmentally friendly practice. The Heather Cutting series expresses images about cutting Heather as opposed to firing breather which limits CO2 and destroys insects, flora and Forna.
